Why going public matters
DS Tiger Guide speaks MCP, the open standard AI assistants use to read live data. Once the connection is public:
- Discovered by AI. Google's Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and other assistants and AI crawlers can find Dripping Springs businesses, events, jobs and shops straight from the source.
- Always current. Answers come from live listings, so hours and events stay up to date instead of relying on old web pages.
- Traffic comes home. Every answer links back to DS Tiger Guide, sending people to local businesses.
- Owners get seen. Businesses show up in AI answers with no extra work. Owner tools still need an account.

Questions and answers
Is it free?
Yes. Connecting your AI assistant to DS Tiger Guide costs nothing. You only need an assistant plan that allows custom connectors (for example Claude Free or Pro, or ChatGPT Plus).
Do I need an account?
For now, yes: a free DS Tiger Guide account. We are starting with signed-in accounts while we make sure answers are accurate and the service runs smoothly. When it goes fully public, anyone will be able to ask about Dripping Springs without signing in.
Which assistants work?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Mistral Le Chat and developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors (Streamable HTTP) can connect. Step-by-step instructions for each are on the Connect AI page in your account.
What can I ask?
Anything about Dripping Springs that DS Tiger Guide knows: events today, tonight or this weekend, businesses by category, opening hours, reviews, Shop Local products, jobs and local news. Answers link to the page on DS Tiger Guide so you can check the details.
What can the assistant see about me?
Only what you approve when you connect. Everyone shares their name, the businesses they follow and the status of their own reviews — never their email, phone number, password or billing details. Business owners can also allow read access to their own listing's insights, reviews and plan.
Can the assistant change anything?
Only if you allow it when you connect. It can follow or unfollow businesses for you, and business owners can submit events, jobs, news, blog posts and products for their own business. Submissions always go to the DS Tiger Guide review queue before they appear on the site, and the assistant is told to show you the draft and get your yes first.
How do I disconnect?
Open My Account, then Connect AI, and remove the app or revoke the key. Access stops immediately. You can also remove the connector in your assistant's settings.
Are the answers accurate?
The assistant reads live DS Tiger Guide data at the moment you ask, so listings, events and hours are as current as the site. It is told never to invent hours, prices or availability, and to link to the page when something is missing. Always check the linked page before you go.
Are some businesses promoted?
Featured businesses are paid placements on DS Tiger Guide. Assistants are told to call them "featured", never "the best". Ratings and "best" answers come from reviews.
I own a business. What can I do?
Ask how your listing did this week, see unanswered reviews and draft replies, check your SEO score and top fixes, see your plan limits, and turn a flyer or notes into an event, job or product submission for review.
What are skills, and do I need them?
Skills are optional instruction packs you can download from Connect AI and upload to Claude (any plan) or ChatGPT (Business, Enterprise or Edu). The connector already works without them; skills help the assistant answer more consistently, with cards and tables.
What does going public mean?
Today the connector needs a signed-in account. Going public means any assistant, search engine or AI crawler could read Dripping Springs's public listings, events, jobs and shops straight from DS Tiger Guide, without anyone signing in. Owner tools would still need an account.
